Container shipping is the most popular method for overseas heavy machinery transport and our number one service by volume. Unlike RoRo shipping (which requires an operational machine), container shipping works for inoperative machinery, allows multiple machines to be consolidated into one container, and can reach ports worldwide that don't have RoRo capability.
How Container Shipping Works
The process from pickup to port follows these steps:
- Contact us with your machine type, pickup location, and destination
- We arrange pickup from anywhere in the United States
- Transport to our dismantling yard, we have yards across the US
- Professional machine dismantling, all parts carefully broken down
- Color-coding, every part is ribbon color-coded for easy reassembly overseas
- Securing and lashing, parts secured inside the container to prevent movement
- Port transport and loading, container transported to the port and loaded onto the vessel
- Overseas delivery to your destination port
Why Container Shipping?
Container shipping is often the right choice when:
- The machine is inoperative and cannot drive under its own power
- You want to consolidate multiple machines from different states into one container
- Your destination port doesn't have RoRo service
- You're importing a disassembled machine and need the most cost-effective transport
Multi-Machine Consolidation. Major Cost Savings
One of the biggest advantages of our container service is consolidation. We pick up multiple machines or parts from various states across the US, transport them to our centrally located yards, and load everything into one container. This dramatically reduces the cost per machine compared to shipping each unit separately.
For buyers overseas purchasing multiple pieces of equipment, this consolidation service can save thousands of dollars.
Our Dismantling Yards
We have dismantling yards and partner facilities strategically located across the United States. No matter where your machine is located, we can pick it up and get it to the nearest processing location efficiently.
Our Payment Terms
We cover all trucking costs, dismantling, ocean freight, tax removal, and customs paperwork. You pay us only as your container is approaching your destination port. Not upfront. Not on departure. Only when your shipment is already en route and you can see it is coming.
This is how we do business. No financial risk to you before your machines are moving.
Marine Cargo Insurance
Every shipment is covered by full marine cargo insurance from the moment we pick up your machinery in the United States to delivery at your destination port. Your equipment is fully protected throughout the entire journey.
